A few questions about bowhunting (again, yeah, I know)

I know it's late but I wanted to post it while I was thinking about it. A couple issues from my first weekend of bowhunts.
For those that ride a 4-wheeler to the stand/closer to the stand, how do you carry your bow on your bike? I just held mine in my lap, but driving with one hand on some of our trails is challenging and it's a hell of bumpy ride on the bow.
What do you do with your quiver once in the stand? I forgot to bring hooks and stuff to hang stuff from so I had to leave it on the bow, it was kind of awkward being that I'd never practiced with it on before.
Is it supposed to be hard as hell to draw back on anything in front of you/slightly to your right? The damn tree was in my way for anything that wasn't to my left (I'm right handed). Do I just have to set up the climber facing to the right of the area I'm overlooking to avoid it being in the way?
I really should have taken a few practice shots out of the climber prior to the season.

depends. academy has some gun holders that work well. my bow's riser fits in em perfect with the string pointing up. somtimes i just hold it/lap. somtimes i strap the whole case to rack.

hang it on something. limb, top of ladder/climbing sticks

I usually hold my bow in my lap as well unless I know the trail I'm going down is going to be a bitch. If that's the case I will strap my case to my rack.

For those of y'all that use hooks on trees have y'all never been busted reaching for bow? I have, not always the most comfortable but everything I need stays on my lap till it's time. Thoughts?

Well, I was going to give my .02 cents but no need. Looks like all has been covered.
I do have a short bungee cord with two hooks clamped on I keep in my backpack. Wrap that sum-bitch around a tree for hanging crapola.

1. I keep my bow in a hard case and just bungee it to the rear rack on the 4 wheeler/golf cart.
2. I keep a piece of rope with a plastic dog clip on it that allows me to hang the quiver from the stand. It's always on the quiver so I can't forget it.
3. Get a bow holder for your stand. Then you don't have to hold you bow while you sit there and it requires almost no movement to get your bow ready to shoot.
4. I place my stand in the tree where I have the best background cover to allow me to draw back.

1. somebody makes a bow carrier, that fits on the handlebars. well worth getting.
2. I have a bracket on my API stand for my quiver, same as on my bow. Some homemade job by Homer Hewitt in Ferriday. When in the stand I just switch.
3. I stand to shoot. It is easier going to the left than right, but that is just body geometrics. You get used to it.

i keep my bow in the hard case on the back of my bike.
im very new to bowhunting as well, so i didnt realize i needed to take the quiver off while hunting lol

If you're in a climbing stand, yes. I always stand up before I shoot though.

I bought a backpack from cabelas where you can strap the bow on to your pack. One of the best things I ever bought for bowhunting. Especially when scouting and carrying your climber with you.

I always leave my quiver on my bow. I also practice with the quiver.

This or learn to stand up quietly and shoot that way. I prefer to shoot standing up if I can.

You don't need to, I just never shot with it on there so it was awkward and I felt like it made me easier to see when I was moving my bow.
I may need to start strapping the case to my bike. Some parts of our trails are pretty rough.

You try to get a shot off standing or sitting in the climber? I always shoot standing, when I hear something I think is a deer, I slowly stand up right off the bat

Standing. The rail is too high in the climber to shoot sitting down. If I had a lock on with no rail I'd try to shoot sitting.

I have a bow carrier on my handle bars.
I place quiver in extra mount epoxied to side of stand.
I make sure the most likely shot is directly left. Front and right side shots suck, especially if you need to turn a lot to get into position. If there is enough brush or trees to totally prevent a shot, I place that stuff to my right.

I take mine off and put it in the back pack off one of the hooks on the hanger.

I hang the lock on away from where I want to shoot...so I stand facing the tree mostly.
