I'm safe in Houston and have had all of my work motivation sucked out by Isaac....I have not gotten a fricking thing done today.

This also goes for school productivity. We have a lot of schoolwork due whatever day we get back to school now, so I'll have to do it during this hurricane.

....when the power goes out.

I emailed a superior saying I am housing a couple of evacuees. No sympathy whatsoever.

I'm hosting some of my relatives who are here seeking refuge from Isaac. couple that with the fact I work from home and my wife is off today and my kids are home---you do the math

My work sent all "non-essential personnel" home Monday afternoon and I took the family to Houston. I'm still getting paid to hang out at the hotel with the wife and kids. Warm and breezy here. Sure beats being in BR right now.

I'm in Memphis and everyone here just wants to make sure the same post-storm evacuees don't get sent back here. Plus I'm supposed to drive down there this weekend.

I should be catching up on a lot of work since I've been off the last 2 days and just found out I'm off tomorrow as well. I'm enjoying this "vacation" though

Exactly the same for me. I have plenty of work to do, but I've barely looked at it since I turned my TV on this morning.
