Props to Clemson w a caveat for their future

The Tiger bashing (LSU related) will continue for a while and rightfully so. However, props to the opponent are definitely in order. Clemson played an outstanding football game despite the 2 forced turnovers and deserved their victory. They played excellent defense and were outstanding on offense all night long. LSU had opportunites and did not take advantage - Clemson did. They never led until the final second of the game. What a wonderful hard-earned victory for their program against one of the more elite collegiate football teams in the country for the past decade.
The only thing I saw as an observer (and this is probably true of any program looking for that national top-tier respect) that irked me was the Clemson coach talking up their program after the game and how great they had become blah...blah...blah. That's all fine and dandy but not once did I hear him give any respect to LSU and their effort.
Miles is always giving credit to the opponent and shows great respect for anyone on LSU's schedule. Clemson and their program would be wise to follow LSU's lead in that area. It could be the extra push they need to win a national championship in the near future. They looked like a national championship caliber team on New Year's Eve. Congrats to the Tigers from Clemson. You earned LSU's respect for sure in your dominating performance and last second victory. Good luck in 2013!

I don't think that Clemson should brag about beating a stomach flu degraded team that didn't want to be there by one point.

Clemson played a great game, just look at the stats and how they dominated and finally closed the deal. Clemson had so much more to play for than LSU and it showed. I'm still puzzled why more Clemson fans did not make the short drive to Atlanta for the game.

Typical LSU fan. Always an excuse. Just give credit, and say you lost.

The dog also ate our right tackle

Absolutely credit should be given. Tajh Boyd played incredible. Their OC called an absolute masterpiece.
I'm not sure it was so much their defense as it was our offense, however.
And on Dabo, I can not think of a worse coach to lose to. The guy just rubs me the wrong way more than any other coach in the country. He is not tactful, he gloats, he's immature, something tells me he's cheating his arse off over there, just overall not a classy guy. He said over and over "this is something this school hasn't done in 39 years yada, yada..." I think we get it Dabo.
Not sour grapes, I had the same opinion of the guy before the game.

uh thanks to the few who have actually congradulated us on the win unlike most with the excuses. wow can yall think of anymore besides the fact that yall just flat out got beat. as for the comment about dabo not giving credit to other team like miles does. well in his post game interview. when he said this is a national championship calibar team. well that was talking about yalls team. thats what our fans heard. sorry yall didnt get it. guess yall were already to busy thinking up excuses. sure sounded like a great compliment to us though. as for dabo passion. i think its great to have a coach that gets so excited about his players and team that he shows it. i would rather have a coach that loves his team so much that he gets excited for them than to have one. like many have. when after a big win they just talk like its no big deal and wonder in their minds. did i just earn ME another raise. college football has become so competitive. i think it needs more coaches like dabo. anyway next year excuses or not

Mix in a comma, brother.
And a capital letter or two. Your post is hard on the eyes.
Oh, and good game.
Now GTFO.

Clemsonfan is right. I live in Greenville, SC, and all week, Dabo was talking about how Clemson is working toward being more like LSU, a national championship caliber program. He was complimenting LSU after that game even though it didn't come across as such.

You accept our good-natured banter with humility. Congrats!
(Of the LSU variety)

You should remove the comma after the word "game" and put a period and then capitalize the first letter in "you".
