LSU Basketball and the rest of the season

Even though we lost to Bama tonight, I think we can win 6 of 8 or 7 out of our last 8 games of the year. SC(on the road), A&M(on the road), Tenn(on the road) and Bama, Ark and State(at home) are all winnable games. That would bring us to either 20-9 or 19-10. An addition to a couple of wins in the SEC Tourney and I could see us possibly making the NCAA Tourney.

LSU's RPI is in the 100s.
LSU won't make the NCAA tournament even if they win out in the regular season.
12-6 in this league wouldn't be enough.
Alabama didn't make it at 12-4 a few years ago.

Our rpi (113 before this game) is so bad that your record is not good enough to get an at-large bid.
Every game is a struggle and I don't see us finishing any better than 17-12.
I'd be happy with NIT this year.

I said this the other night! We are much better at home . We could beat Bama at home and ole miss the only game I see us losing from here on out is at Missouri !

This team has zero chance of making the NCAAT short of winning the SECT. Our RPI is in the low 100s.
I also see no scenario in where we win 7 of our last 8. There's 4 road games left for starters and we haven't played well on the road all year. IF we won 2 of those 4 road games, that'll be a big accomplishment. I think we take 1 road game left and win 3/4 at home to finish 8-10, which falls within my preseason prediction of 6-12 to 8-10

If this happens, CJJ should get coach of the year. These kids play with a lot of heart & guts but they are so inconsistent. They also lack discipline. If that can improve I can maybe see 17 wins at best.

Be happy with some of the progress. Get excited for the possibilities that lie in the future. But this team isn't going to the NCAAT unless they win the SEC tourney. 8 conf wins is still possible this year. Anything else is a bonus.

Thunderbird most of the teams we play on the road are very bad USC tenn and A&m , except for Missouri !

We already lost to USC at home and beat A&M at home barely. We arent a good team and dont do well on the road, i think taking 1/4 is reasonable, i could see 2/4, but 3/4 just isnt going to happen.

The team now that scraped by Texas A&M and Mississippi State? Yeah we're playing better but still barely beating bad teams and played poorly tonight losing to a very meh team.

I'll tell you one thing, if we have to go against the officials and the players every night like we did against bama yesterday then no we have no chance of anything. That was the worst officiated game I've ever seen. I'm starting to think there is something to all these bama conspiracy theories.
