Luol Deng (14M expires 2014)
Dion Waiters (4M expires 2015 w/ club option)
Omer Asik (15M expires 2015)
Rodney Stuckey (8.5M expires 2014)
Iman Shumpert (2.5M expires 2015)
Evan Turner (6.7M expires 2014)
Thaddeus Young (9M expires 2016 w/ early termination option after 2015)
Rajon Rondo (12.5M expires 2015)
Joel Anthony (3.8M expires 2014)
Danny Granger (14M expires 2014)

Obviously all speculation. Do you guys think Pelicans pursue any of these guys?

I would like to see a trade where we trade Gordon and potentially another player and receive dion waiters and a 1st round pick. We would probably need a third team to facilitate the trade.

Could potentially pursue a shumpert trade, since his perimeter defense is good and he has a cheap contract. I don't know what we would give up for him though.

Aminu is on a 1 yr 4M deal, would be fair for both. I wish they'd be dumb enough.
*for Shumpert

Granger would be best for you guys IMO. High risk yeah but so was dealing a 1st round pick in this year's draft. Trade EG/Anderson and see if Granger works. Best case scenerio: He's scoring 20 a game and Reke is looking good in the starting lineup. Maybe try to get Mahimi if you can or Hansborough. Move Smith to bench and hope for the best really.

Worst (Best case scenerio?) case scenerio: Granger sucks, you have Davis pull a Kyrie (sit out extra long with small injuries) and try to do same with anyone else (Reke) and then have Monty take the fall for it all. Maybe you end up with a top 5 pick, maybe not. Depends if the risk is REALLY worth it though?

I've been wanting Granger back in NOLA. He wants to be home, Gordon wants to go home to Indianapolis...

Same contract
Pels need SF
Pacers need SG

People on here hate Granger and won't listen to any idea where we dump Gordon to get rid of his contract. A straight up swap for Gordon and Granger would be great. This team needs some veteran leadership and we'd have bird rights on Granger going into next season. I don't think the Pacers are going for it though. They are counting on the cap space as well and need the slot for George's new contract. It's just not going to happen.

Btw, Hansborough plays for the Raptors now. They replaced him with Scola..

Not this shite again

Danny Granger is almost 31 years old with worse knees than EG. He's no sure bet to play at all this year and is a FA after this season. So you're trading a 24 year old capable of scoring 20 a night and playing good defense signed for 2 more years for an expiring. Enlighten us what we do with that money please.

Ridiculous, who the frick cares if he's from LA or EG is from Indy

Yeah

Indiana has this guy named Lance Stephenson playing SG. Dude is shaping up to be the next Paul George

I would much rather a 31 yr old veteran who has proven his worth than a 24 yr old who is overvalued and is the anti-clutch.

There's your enlightenment

Stephenson is a 6th man on a championship roster right now. Be real.

Then, quite frankly, your opinion means little to me. EG is not worth $16 million but we had to re-sign him and for fricks sake he's playing well and hasn't missed a game.

People on this board need to get over Eric Gordon's past

They just look for any reason to hate on the guy

Stephenson is showing why he was the top recruit in the country. He's had a bunch of issues but is finally putting it all together. He leads all SGs in rebounding, is near the top in assists, and has posted the most double doubles. Not to mention he has the most triple doubles in the L thus far.

There is a reason the Pacers have stepped up their play this season.

Yeah, not worth arguing with this guy but frick it, I'm not tired

He has not played the equivalent of a full season in NO. In the 1st quarter tonight, he looked like he did in LA. Attacking the basket and dunking. He will continue to get better and he plays good D. I'm not totally against trading him but why the hell do I want to give him up for an expiring who might not play this year?

Again, enlighten us on who we are going to sign with that money that's better than EG.

Gordon this year:

career LOW in ppg
career LOW in fg%
career LOW in assists.

He is sucking it up, face it. His 4th quarter stats are laughable.

And there are tons of FA's after this year that Pels could use the money on. I'm not going to do the honors for you.

The past?

It might be that he has the personality of a brick wall and is the worst max deal player in the league

He's averaged right at 3 apg for his career, dude. Don't you think he may be scoring less due to the talent around him compared to those Clips teams? There's reason to believe he's just getting his legs under him. Again, he's overpaid and I'm not opposed to trading him but for Danny Granger? And because he's from LA and EG's from Indy? Grow up
