Restructuring of Old Soviet Mindset

We have good players. And before you say we don't, frick you.
But the Russian and Ukrainian leagues and the idea that "Russians should play in front of Russians" is wrong.
Arshavin gained much more nortoriety by being an Arsenal player. Same for Shevchenko at Milan.
That's like saying Ovechkin or Malkin should never leave.
They still love their country, but our leagues are not helping our players grow.

We really don't give a shite right now, comrade. The yanks are on the tube
Also you contradicted yourself.
"We have good players but they all play in Russia and Ukraine"
"Our leagues aren't helping our players grow"
Can't have it both ways comrade

That's not a contradiction.
They are good, but peak at a certain level domestically. The peak could be higher abroad.

What's holding them back? Konoplyanka might be the best of the bunch and he's in Spain
We'll talk later

Yes. Konoplyanka is in Spain. Cheryshev is in Spain.
More of our players should do this.
More of our players should do this.

Comrade, a pipeline to the Championship could toughen them up

A Ukrainian plays in the Segunda Division for Ponferradina, but they got relegated to 3rd tier.
Let him come to Leeds.

High wages and domestic limits on foreigners are holding them back.
Zenit and CSKA are rich clubs. Richer than say Stoke City.
But Russian clubs in RFPL matches must have 4 Russians on the pitch at all times.
This leads to overpayment and us signing shite players like Artur Yusupov just to meet quotas.
The whole system is flawed.

just casually waiting for Sheva 2.0 to emerge

Like you said, comrade, something needs to change.
More players need to have the heart to compete like Arshavin and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov had early on in their careers.

Arshavin sucked at Arsenal. He got to Arsenal by putting on a show with Russia.
Him going to Arsenal didn't make him or team Russia better. Just think he's a terrible example for your point.

4 at one time is bad, but 5-6 like in Turkey a few years ago is even more problematic. It will hurt the league coefficient rating, too.
It does seem odd that there are fewer Russians abroad now than a decade ago. Karpin, Salenko, Popov, Mostovoi, and Beschastnykh all did really well for themselves in Spain. However, their Russian squads didn't fare well in 1994, 1996, or 2002. And they didn't even make it to 1998 or 2000.

He was played out of position by Arsene, and kind of wasted tbh
