He said, "thank God, maybe my defense won't be on the field for 45 minutes anymore". He just happened to say it in his head.

They will if they give up 8 play drives more than 7 times like they did in the Auburn game.
7 plays 17 yards
15 plays 67 yards
8 plays 54 yards
9 plays 72 yards
10 plays 55 yards
11 plays 51 yards.
You blame it on the offense alone because they stayed on the field so long .. Gets your facts straight

All the 3 and outs hurt us but you don't think all the long drives made us stay on the field all night long?

They ran the same play one drive 6 straight times and got 4 first downs. I guess that's the offense too.

Aranda's defense was giving up those long drives to let the offense get extra work in preparation. That's why they only made field goals. He let it go as long as he could.

Are you twelve?
I listed all the long drives that made us stay on the field forever. Plus the 3 and outs with Etling the starting QB didn't help.
Plenty of blame to go around. You guys like to pick and choose who to blame while totally overlooking the other problems.

I have tried to say the same thing in other threads. I am amazed that so many are not willing to at least acknowledge that the defense needs some work.

People act like I am saying the defense sucks and its their fault.
Absolutely not but to stay on the field and not get off the field is cause for concern. Its not like we have played explosive offenses yet either.
Wiscosin, Miss St, Auburn, 1-aa and we are still 35th in Defense.
