Why are people jumping off Herman bandwagon?

dude is still a hell of a coach and by far my number 1 choice.
I just heard a guest on XM college show when asked about Houston, he said Herman is very close with his players and many view him as a father figure. Everything they've been hearing is hes all but gone and talking to other teams, etc.
Add that to the fact that they arent playing for a NC and arent getting in the Big 12, and it makes total sense that the team isnt playing up to potential.
This is a rare circumstance that i dont blame Herman for. He cant control those things and it makes a huge difference.
Dude is a stud, mensa member, and comes from the Urban coaching tree. I wouldnt back off him one bit if im LSU

Fricking microwave culture we have right now. Everyone needs immediate gratification. Whoever won today is the best guy for the job.
Kelly's #1 on the list for me, Herman's #2, no change in my preference.

I think a lot of fans are just conceding him to Texas.

Completely agree

I agree Texas is our main competition.
I love Fleck and wouldnt be down one bit if we got him.
Id rather Kelly over Jimbo.
Of course all of this is a moot point if Coach O wins out

I think some know him from OSU and had wins over OU and FSU. These ugly losses to very mediocre teams is a little worriesome for a coach who suppose to be the top candidate out there.

No but its interesting i heard that same national guy when they asked about LSU say "Im hearing the 3 names they are considering are Herman, Jimbo, and Fleck".
Not sure if he pulled that out of arse or what but i like it.

I agree with you. Herman wouldn't fall off my list.
As long as LSU interviews a bunch of candidates and do their own research and just don't "give" the job away, then that's all I ask for.
If it's O, Herman, Fisher, etc, just do your due diligence to get the "right" guy.

What has he done? He doesn't even have a long enough track record of coaching not to mention coaching at top programs.

I have and don't want the guy anywhere close to the LSU program. The guy is in his second year and just lost 2 of 3 and could have easily been 3 of 3 to much less talented teams.
Coach O has to win out and/or beat Bama to be considered for the job. This guy coaches in a junior league and got his arse kicked by SMU. Why the double standard in this case?
All the excuses about about not making the B12 and players knowing he is gone is bullshite. LSU's players lost their head coach - the guy who recruited and has coached most of them for years.
They have lost two games and could have considered the season over. Did they? Hell NO - with O at the helm they are all of a sudden playing like a championship caliber team. Is it all Coach O? I don't know if O should get all the credit for the turnaround but I think Houston's shite play is totally a reflection on their head coach and I don't want that guy.

Well duh... Any coach with a loss on their resume is not worthy.
I heard some idiot on the radio say that we should ONLY be looking at head coaches with National Title Experience.
That means...
Miles
Stoops
Urban
Jimbo
Saban
