I thought that was illegal? Not that I care, I'm competent enough to have an ID and I think that it's a sensible thing to do in order to prevent voter fraud.

But isn't that illegal??

Me too. I was so triggered by their obvious attempts to suppress my vote that I walked out. I'm literally shaking right now in my car.

Thankfully, some states do require ID to vote. Verifies you are who you claim to be.

State by state differences. But why would you think it is illegal to present ID to prove your identity? It's just the fastest way.

Oh I get it, you once heard some politician say that one party was making it illegal to present ID at the polls and you believed them because you believe most of what you are told by opportunistic politicians. Well it's not illegal to have a drivers license and to use that as proof of identity at the polls

Depends on what state you are in.

Disenfranchising bastards made me show mine too. The trauma of such will haunt me the rest of my days.

Good! I wish it was law for the whole country! A state issued photo ID. I have no issues with this.

Both my military Id and drivers license got scanned and nothing came up.

The lady had to put my date of birth in the system and two names came up that weren't mine. I was registered to vote in the precinct I was at but had to fill out a change of address form first.

I don't ever remember a knob being on the machines and having the option to do a full party ticket. It took a lot longer than I expected

It is pretty amazing actually...

The States that require it are mostly red states and the ones that don't are mostly blue.

Things that make you go hmmmm.

BTW most of the so-called swing states request but don't require photo id

I find this so odd. I've shown my license to vote for 22 years and never once thought you couldn't until the past 5 or so.. just assumed it was normal practice to actually ensure that my vote is correct..

Some states still require a resemblance to lawfulness.
