Tip uber drivers: yea or nay?

Sometimes I'll slip them a few dollars if they take me by whataburger after the bars

I tip Lyft drivers since they add it easily in the app. I just neve have cash on me, so no for Uber.

1) If they actually know the roads, and dont depend on their gps to sit in traffic.
2) If i make any special requests for pit stops for drunk food.
Otherwise, no

There may be a chance you run into a driver that uses Square. That is what I did for tips with people who didn't carry cash.

I have before if they were cool, did well, and I had cash on me. I don't more often than I do, though.
The last half dozen drivers I've had have been miserable, so I haven't tipped lately.

One of my co-workers has had nights where Uber drivers cancel on him until he can get one on the phone and tell them he'll tip them extra. It's usually easy for him to get a ride to/from work but there was one night like that when 4 straight drivers cancelled on him it was ridiculous. As the mgr I had to wait the hour too.

Nope, the forced tip option annoyed the hell out of me with cabs. For years they've had unions fighting to artificially fix prices AND they still want a tip? Nope. Cabs could've easily priced the tip in before Uber. Uber is all about the free market for me. No tips.
