Why does McCain and Graham seem to oppose Trump at every turn?

At least other Republicans try to find common ground and/or convince Trump that there way is the better way.
McCain and Graham seem to oppose Trump for opposition sake. They run to CNN and complain about Trump the first chance they get and CNN always use these guys for their typical statement of, "but all Republicans don't agree".
What are these guys trying to accomplish?

They are globalists and Trump represents a nationalist agenda.

Because they're both establishment whores.

Republicans are stupid. Seriously, this tells you how God awful the DNC is that they have been destroyed at every level over the last 8 years by a party full of idiots.

They know their turn in coming

Because they've both been in DC so long they've lost touch with the common, grass roots voters that put Trump in office.

But Trump, Graham and McCain have so much in common in terms of military spending and the VA.

Bc McCain is a maverick!
And bc Trump kind of insulted him with the getting captured thing.

Because he is a monster and they are not running again so they can call him out without fear of reprisal.
