It's a question of taste. I personally like McCartney best, but both Lennon and Harrison were amazingly talented in their own right. I just enjoyed McCartney's pop songs better than Lennon's political statements.

Lennon wasn't really that political in the Beatles. After, yeah he was a cuck about speaking his mind. I always thought Lennon blew Paul out of the water songwriting-wise though.

Hard to say, but for me it's George. He was the most musically talented. Learning to play the sitar and introducing it into pop music was unheard of at the time. His solo stuff is far away better than Paul's or John's.
