Nagbe was so good at keeping and extending the possession as well as getting the ball into the final third, while Villafana was confident and composed on the ball despite getting left out on an island a couple of times.

Think I saw where they combined to have a perfect pass rate in the first half.

Both with strong performances, both were given the cold shoulder by Jurgen.

If Villafana keeps that LB spot and makes it is, we can move Fab to the midfield, which potentially gives us an attacking five of:

Altidore-Wood
Nagbe-Pulisic-Johnson

HOLY shite.

Who do you replace him with?

Love what deuce did tonight and has done for us, but... I don't know where he fits in going forward. In place of Wood?

It's a good problem to have.

he's still our fox in the box and has the best eye for goal in our current pool. I mean, I love Bobby Wood but is this even debatable? Dempsey just scores goals, and that's the name of the game

Yes, it was before and it will continue to be on nights when deuce doesn't get a hat trick.

Of course it is. Tonight was a magical night for him sure. But going forward, he's most likely going to be coming off the bench when we need offense. Bruce has kind of already said this exact thing. He wouldn't have even started tonight if it weren't for the Wood injury. He's a hell of a luxury to have when we need a big goal in a big spot, though.

I think he's just about done for the season.

I could be wrong, but I thought that's what I heard on twitter.
