Don't forget that we didn't have to play against Pepe.

M8 had Ronaldo not been hurt Portugal wouldn't have had that shitty of a GD.
Cristiano alone was/is better than anything on our team that game. I know a lot of y'all are some butthurt little bitches about Ronaldo and the truth about America but Portugal would've moved on.

What game did you watch? Dude didn't do shite until the last 5 minites.

Jones had a much better game than Ronaldo had.

did you really just compare the guy every US fan has shite on for years to one of the best ever?
I agree, Cristiano at the top of his game is better than anything we had on our team that day (or in history honestly).

I don't think you'll find anyone that shite on Jones for his World Cup perormance.

Jones and Howard were arguably our 2 best players.

I'll agree with you on that but I'll never get mad at anyone who says Cristiano or Messi. But I swear on his day at his peak Ronaldinho scared me the most & was just unreal on the ball.

Zidane dictated the game, it went the way he wanted it to. I don't think you can say this about christian or messi. The only other player I've seen recently with this quality is Yaya Toure for a few years.

Ronaldinho was great for sure, but he couldn't carry a team on his back the way Zizou and Yaya could in their prime. He was certainly physically capable, but I don't think he was smart enough to anticipate what was going to happen before it did like the greatest players are able to do.

That's what makes Messi so great, he anticipates the opposition and does opposite. He's got less athleticism than ronaldo, but more ballons d'or.

the top of when I started watching till now would have to be

1. Zidane
2. Messi
3. Scholes
4. Fat Ronaldo
5. Y. Toure

Ehhh, i'll take Johan Cruyff in this race.

Solely on the basis that he changed the way the game was played around his time.

I agree on the CR7/Messi part. I think they can both lay claim to being the greatest ever.

I love Dinho to death, but he wasn't at his peak long enough to be the best ever, I think. Had he been a force, and been relevant, for longer I do think we'd be talking about him as possibly being the GOAT. Which is sad, because he's the reason I support Barca and one of the reasons I like Brazil so much.

However; if this is purely the greatest ever in the sense of what he was at his very best, Brazilian Ronaldo takes the cake
