I have no strong opinion about him but the people usually arrayed against him in WH palace intrigue are scum. So he's fine until he announces a troop surge in Afghanistan or something.

he's fine if you're playing tank commander against an undermanned Iraqi armed forces, he has no business as NSA, he is quickly becoming TRUMP's worst cabinet pick.

I don't know much about McMaster to make a decision. He seems well-respected, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt unless he does something otherwise.
