Well he'd be wrong if he came out and listed all of those people and said they were in good form for the side

The "Soccer media" for the US is very kind to the USMNT. Especially compared to Mexico. Those guys get ripped so badly where most of the time, our guys are given a pass for barely making it.

"soft tattooed millionaires" pretty much sums it up.

I been thinking that the USMNT has been playing these games more like a pro-bowl/all start game versus "our country needs us to win"

People give the Germericans shite, but Jermaine Jones is the most American player we've had on our roster in a long time. We actually miss his presence way more than anyone anticipated. We don't have a grind it out type that destroys people and makes them scared. We are at our best when we used our size and strength to our advantage.

Jones and Beckerman used to wreck people. I miss them dearly.

We really do miss prime Jermaine Jones covering ground and destroying some guys in the midfield. He's a nice guy off the field, but you do not frick with that guy on the field. He's the type of guy who's ready for a fight anytime. Perfect for CONCACAF.

Bradley, Acosta, and Nagbe are all good midfielders, but they don't have that defensive intensity and nastiness Jones had. As frustrating as his lack of positional discipline was soemtimes, he was a beast for us.

Maybe the biggest problem has always been the players and talent pool. This team is no better under Arena than it was under Jurgen if people want to be completely honest with themselves.

I'm confused, I thought Lalas was hated on this board for doing shite like this in the past.

Agree with him. Really the only stretch to me is lumping in Pulisic

Why are you laughing? From a lineup selection and results standpoint he is right. Maybe the players know what their roles are better....but what the hell does that matter if they aren't coached to or can't perform in these roles.

Scores a goal.. then has his nose broken & septum deviated.. plays through it..

4 days later=

Scores again vs Portugal.

But please, tell me how he is soft.

I think it's fair to ask more of the whole team. I don't think it would be harsh to say he has to bring more as well.
