The band has been playing for awhile...I can hear the drums. Seems kinda early for band practice.

Marching band festival was always this time of year when I was in HS. We would practice from 7-10, then head out to the competition.

war drums, best time to attack is at daybreak but you can go later on the weekend because people sleep in

I'd still see more non swimmers in a day in Mandeville than I would in 6 months in my world.

I lived in mandeville/Madisonville
But now live in Canyon Lake Texas and I completely understand your seeing less “non-swimmers” comparison. This place is like Scandinavia with cactus.
