He had no leverage, he's what 32 and plays in Coors and has had some noticable home/road splits I believe.

Good. It was sounding like he was going to be one of the players that Atlanta could have targeted in free agency, and they dont need that contract at that age.

Keep in mind that almost all hitters have better home than road numbers and also that it is harder to adjust going to and from Coors than any other home park. For these reasons I think the home/road splits for Rockies players has always been overblown.
Chuck Nasty is a near elite player and i think this is a good deal for both sides.

Rockies players have always had MUCH larger splits than other players....
I mean a.110 difference in average, .130 difference is OBP, and .330 difference in slugging is huge
Judge for example who plays in a hitters park had a difference of .050/.030/.190 in his home/away splits

Charlie Blackmon and Lorenzo Cain are the same age and the two are pretty comparable in terms of overall value. Cain ended up getting 5 year, $80 million deal so yeah, it was probably a slight overpay.

I don't know about that. I see a 2020 starting outfield of Ender, Acuna, and Pache. No reason to go after an outfielder in FA if Acuna and Pache are as advertised.
Catcher is the biggest position the Braves will need to address from outside of the organization in the next few years.

Blackmon has been worth 2 more wins above replacement the last two years....
Cain's game also depends on speed, Blackmon has a higher OBP, Slugging, and Average....

That doesn’t surprise me. I’m just saying the splits aren’t as drastic as the stats indicate for the 2 reasons I mentioned. No doubt that Coors is a huge advantage for hitters, which I attribute more to the expansive outfield than the altitude.
Sometimes I wonder if it would be better to have the fences closer and very high.

I think that is pretty drastic, I mean at Coors he is a top 5 player, on the road he is a borderline all-star
