Heath Shuler - nowhere near a JaMarcus level tank

Anthony Bennett regardless of sport

Although that's not really fair. He had no business going number one in the first place

Russell is a candidate because of how much money he made.
I always think it's Ttent Richardson because the Browns traded up to pick him and 2 years later, the Colts traded a 1st round pick for him. That's pretty bad

Ryan Leaf (4-14 as a starter w/SD) 13 TDs 33 Ints 53 sacks
Keep in mind the Chargers weren't a horrible team at that time. In between his first and final season with the Chargers, Jim Harbaugh went 6-6 as the bolts starter before getting hurt, team finished 8-8 with Eric Kramer under center.

Nah Russell at least showed some signs of life in year 2. Leaf was absolutely dreadful from start to finish.

Ricki Williams is up there, but it has more to do with the Saints trading 8 picks to get him.
8 picks.
8 picks.

Akili Smith. 3rd pick of 99 draft. Five career TDs and 13 INTs.

I think JM is up there simply because of what he could’ve been. He was great during the 2006 CFB season because he was gearing up for the draft. If his maturation process continued upward from there, he could’ve been great. Instead, he got drafted, got his money, and stopped trying. Dude just never liked football much.
