Worst part is the feeling of coulda, woulda, shoulda............still cant believe we couldn't get it done against a POS team like trinidad. Alex Lalas nailed it. The old regime was a bunch of tattooed millionaires who dont give a frick.

I'm definitely going to watch, especially Germany and England matches, but maaannnn

They should walk Bruce Arena out in baby's outfit for opening match and have Sunil holding the bottle for him. Talk about two arrogant pieces of shite.

And yes, I am super MAD.BUT.......

We do get a chance to shut the dirty, stealing, lying, trashy mouths of a bunch of mexican fans in the upcoming friendly against the USA's septic tank.

Nothing can erase the embarrassment of October but the opportunity to hit the reset button (and the clarity in knowing it's necessary) > muddling along with a veteran-laden squad to an almost certain Group Stage exit.

I mean if we qualified Gulati would still be leading the federation, which is sickening to think about.

It already is. Weah, McKennie, Sargent, and the rest are now capped, and getting runs out, yes in friendlies, but as starters, even. Two years to prep. for Gold Cup, and for qualifying to begin.

It's a setback regardless, but hope we will get better in the long run.

Either way, we are missing out on the US at a time when we really want to watch them play. shite, I will be 30 in 2022 (and that's probably somewhat young for this board).

Flew to france 2 years ago today for the Euros, jelly as hell im not there this year

I saw something saying 37% of non Russians going to the WC were Americans though, that’s crazy given you haven’t qualified! Altho I would imagine a fair few sold their tickets again on the FIFA portal

just think of this way, if US made it, they wouldve played 3 matches and went home most likely, maybe 4 or 5 is we overachieved. there are 63 matches... US not being in it doesn't effect the 58 matches they wouldnt be playing in either way

Realistically we wouldn’t contend at all and I’ll try to enjoy the rest.

But I when I think of big sports moments I remember like they were yesterday I remember the England goal frickup, Donovan late vs Algeria, Dempsey scoring on Ghana. And I really don’t want much or follow soccer much

“It’s a cock up!”

I was watching that one with me Manhattan crew at Legends. Tall Pete was over from London and he was nearly shown the door several times by management.

if your team makes the world cup, there are immediately 13 matches that you should care a lot about. all of your groups matches, all of the group you are set up to play in the round of 16s matches, the other round of 16 match up (let's assume we lose in round of 16).

that's pretty awesome to have an immediate rooting interest in 1/4 of the games, not counting any other secondary interests like cheering for secondary countries, players you like, cool stories, etc...

missing out on the world cup fricking sucks in all facets, but the enjoyment factor is a gigantic fricking bummer.
