Deadspin bemoans exit of Senegal and their “unnervingly attractive” manager

The Lions of Teranga quickly became a fan favorite around the world for their kick-arse uniforms, fun players, stereotype-busting style of play, enthusiastic fans, and unnervingly attractive manager.

How is it just that Japan gets to keep their World Cup dream alive and Senegal has to crash out because of a narrow edge in yellow cards? It’s a bitter consolation prize, but Senegal can leave Russia with their heads held high. They showed out at this World Cup, and became one of the easiest teams to cheer for during their brief run.

Gawker makes me cringe.
Top place to troll the comments though.

I can get ungreyed easily enough but if you make one pithy comment you’re doomed to be grey forever.

Im not clicking that link but it doesn't kinda suck Senegal went out. They had a solid team and were fun to watch.
They got away from their usual style and tried to hold a 0-0 draw and it cost em. They created a ton of chances in the 10 minutes after they went down and knew they had to score. Probably should've took a more attacking approach to begin with

I saw Senegal.
They were beating on the opponents as a system.
I'm glad they were dropped for doing it.
Pee on them.
Goodbye Germany too. that Boateng who got tossed was dirty in games I've seen in world cups before. karmic comeuppance.

Boateng has been my least favourite German player for quite a while now. Hopefully he’s not on next cup team

Yeah that makes sense since Gerald Asamoah and Cacau aren't playing anymore and Dennis Aogo isn't getting called up at all. Unfortunately for you, Serge Gnabry will probably get some call-ups. And the next German coach will have to start Leroy Sane.
Worst of all for you, Boateng might be replaced at his position by Antonio Rudiger.

Hummels played as poorly as Boateng. Their options options are Ginter, Rudiger, Mustafi (who sort of sucks), Sule, Tah and probably a couple of other youngsters. But Kroos played poorly too, with uncharacteristic giveaways and would have been better served with a player like Weigl as a partner. They are still among the most talented teams in the world.

Senegal was a fun team to watch, as are most of the West African teams. Japan's program has exceeded all expectations though, and Colombia is also a great team. The only team that looked like they didn't belong was Poland, to be honest.

I'm not a Bayern fan. but I do follow them out of interest. Boateng and Hummels were both pretty bad this past season, especially without having Neuer behind them. I've been saying for like 4 months that Germany's defense could be weak without Schweinsteiger and Lahm. Kroos is not a holding midfielder.
I'm a bit shocked they didn't make it out of the group, but not as much as most people.

Boateng spent most the year hurt
and still played better than Hummels this WC

Yeah, I would never do that b/c those people are psychos. Also, I don't have Facebook. I've tried to set up burners before and been successful a few times, but don't ever write the key down.

Senegal ouster reeks of racism, IMHO. There's no other reason they shouldn't be in round of 16
