Do you guys ever consider chopping the pot.

first place payout: 1,000.00
second place payout: 400.00

we split equal $700.00 (he has agreed)

Winner takes home bragging rights. the game is projected to be even on paper. It's a toss up on who has best team.

I talked about it once just to bring it up as an option. We both agreed that it was more fun just to play for it.

Ours was (1st $900) (2nd $200) (Highest Point $100). Me and the other guy agreed on $700 and $400 so the Superbowl is worth something and we both walk away with some good money.

Prize for my league for first is $3350 and second is $1650, I offered 3k for first and 2k for second but was declined ...and I'm projected to win

I always make a deal. Better to have more guaranteed money in my book. If I win, money and bragging rights. If I lose, more money than I should have gotten. Win win

I don’t initiate a deal. If the other guy wants to I’ve agreed to a deal in the past. But I like play the winner getting a big pot. I also don’t play fantasy football to make money, I play for fun, so if I make a bunch of money doing it that’s just bonus

80/20 or 70/30 split

I took about 80 last year. Two years ago, it was more 60/40

That’s some pussy arse shite IMO. You play to win the game. In our league, first gets $1000, runner up gets $200, which is generous. If someone contacted me about ‘chopping the pot’ I’d laugh in their face and then kick them out of the league.

How are you gonna even know if someone chops the pot? How are you kicking them out? It’s a side deal between two people

I suppose I wouldn’t know. But if I found out about it, they’d be gone. You’re basically throwing out the importance of getting to and winning the championship game. Thankfully, our league doesn’t contain poors who are desperate for the money. They play to win and give everyone else shite until the next year. I just don’t get the whole ‘chop the pot’ mentality. Why work so hard all year just to ‘share with those less fortunate’ like a kindergartener?

And that’s fine if that’s how you feel. However how two people work a deal with each other after getting paid is nobody else’s business

I’m a 30 point in favorite in one and the guy asks me about a split. Come on

What if in the NCAA Championship the two competitors decided not to play the final game and claim to be co-champions? Or they cancelled the Superbowl because it’s been a long season and everyone needs a break, so they each get half a title? It just doesn’t make sense to me unless you’re playing fantasy football because your really need the money. If you’re that hard up you probably shouldn’t be playing in money leagues.

I mean why even have money fantasy leagues?

You should just play fantasy sports for that fantasy trophy wall brah

That way you can't split that trophy.
