Any of you baws have any knowledge of the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago? The specific area I'm asking about would be the area just to the south of DePaul university.

From Google, it seems to be a fairly prosperous area. How is the crime rate? Is it a safely walkable area? And is public transportation safe?

TIA for any helpful info.

Not being a dick, but you know you can find all of that out on Google as well, right?

About as good of an area as you can find in Chicago. It’s fairly safe but that said, crime is extending to “good areas.”

It starts with one thing. I don't know why.
It doesn't even matter how hard you try.
Keep that in mind.
I designed this rhyme to explain in due time

Looks like there were less than 5 murders there in 2018. You should be good

Google “HeyJackass Chicago” for a complete crime breakdown of each Chicago neighborhood

Awesome area, expensive housing, seems to be a fairly good area for families. Lots of people walking their dogs, kids in strollers, etc

it's definitely a nicer neighborhood. Well to do middle agers. Been a while since I lived up there, but im sure it's as safe as it can be walking around. Just be safe and use common sense. During the day plenty of people. At night...well dont be alone but thats every where.

LP is fine. Need more info though. Is it for a wknd stay with your family? your kid moving there? What

My step-sister in law went to De Paul and lived near there. I don’t think she ever had any complaints. Just told me to never ride the red line at night.

You’re talking my hood.

Why do you ask?

Homes are $2 - 3 million per. One bedrooms are $1500 - 2500 per month depending on the building. Two bedrooms are $2500 - 3500.

It’s a very nice neighborhood.

My daughter(sorry, no pics) is moving there in a few weeks. Single, early 30s, starting a job at Northwestern university. She already rented an apartment. Pics of the apartment and building look awesome. Seems to be a very secure building.

It’s generally a very safe area.

She’ll be taking the purple line or driving to work, I assume. She’ll like it. Tons of people just like her in the neighborhood.

Not that familiar with Lincoln Park rent prices. I thought it was fairly expensive.

I have a place in west loop. Randolf Street is awesome. I can walk to work, Mariano’s, Whole Foods, Au Cheval (when I can get a table), Little Goat Diner. The Pink Line is nearby and the purple line is an easy transfer at Clark/Lake.

I lived near the Lincoln Park DePaul campus for over a decade. What do you want to know, precisely? It's as safe an area as you can find in the city.

Email me @gmail. I’ll show her around. I used to live in the West DePaul area. I’ll treat her like a queen as long as she’s attractive.
