Midlife career change

I’m in sales but get zero help from the exwife as she is a certified POC. I’m not going to be able to keep up the travel schedule (US and Canada) and take care of my kids and there is no such thing as local sales in my industry. Anyone had a career/industry change midlife/mid career in to something different? If so, what’d you do? In a jam and need some options that won’t competely kill my income and career.

I have 22 years in my industry and 7 years in sales. I could easily work for one of my customers but I’d have to move. I’m in animal nutrition and pet food

What education do you have behind that? There could be alot more opportunities than you know of. And where are you located?
