CNBC

Maduro seems dug in and refusing aid of any kind. If all the roads and bridges are closed should we just send in the C-17’s and C-130’s for aid airdrops?

We need boots on the ground to remove maduro

Wouldn’t take more than a weekend to accomplish

Would be finest hour of Orange’s presidency

Where does his external support come from? Let him know, "Okay - but if no aid can come in, then NOTHING comes in or goes out. You cool with that?"

Meh.... I say just keep dropping aid and support Guaido with materials. The people will rise up and military will back down. Maduro will be off to Russia before you know it.

Cuban intelligence services.

The castros have a vested interest in making sure Maduro retains power and they've been sending a lot of men to protect him there.

Russia and China have an interest but it's not that big of an interest.

Honestly Hail, lots of people would be skeptical of how easy you make it sound but in this case you are right.

We could parachute a brigade sized element of the 82nd Airborne Division to secure and open the airport while simultaneously other elements (maybe another two brigade sized units) from Fort Campbell, Drum or Lewis secure/take out Maduro. I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t already have special forces in country communicating and coordinating with their newly recognized and legitimate leader and key leaders of their military.

Can we send in Bernie and Ocasio to fix this mess. Everybody knows that socialism the way they want it will work.

No boots..just airlift aid..don't be a Dem Neocon..

45 campaigned on Populism, and even though it's in our hemisphere, and creating a problem riding a train to our doorstep..

I have faith in the people of Venezuela to create their own change...for now.

Let Trump head to 2020 Election with promises kept, to get soldiers home, and clean up some of the last two President's warhawking.

Drop thousands of Liberator pistols to the citizens, like we did in WWII.

I totally agree. No need to go Bush here. The people of Venezuela are ready. They just need the supplies.

The Berlin Airlift was a success.
A purely humanitarian aid program could never be attacked. If it was, that would give us the full go ahead to take his arse out though.

I didn't down vote him, but why in the hell should we commit American troops to a Venezuela action?

I highly doubt a single shot would be fired.

Well, that's certainly not true, but is ultimately beside the point.
