I'm flummoxed over why so many of you are willing to fly the plane into the mountain...

LSU is doing the right thing, the cautious thing, by suspending Wade. Yeah, it's easy as a keyboard warrior to say "frick Yahoo, frick the NCAA" and demand that LSU "stand behind their guy", etc. etc.
I would submit that by suspending Wade, LSU is doing him a favor. The best chance at preserving this program, limiting future penalties, AND bringing Will Wade back as coach is to suspend him, show the NCAA you are cooperating fully, that they are out ahead of this deal. Anything else is just cavalier alpha male shite. The future of this program is at stake.

Catering to the NCAA doesn’t work. Sounds good and all but it doesn’t. Go ask Missouri and Ole Miss fans for recent examples.

How hard is it to understand that 2 years ago, we were as bad as we could possibly be. If we don’t fight for this, we will end up right back there again. We literally have nothing to lose by not fighting for this

Suspending him won’t help with NCAA if he paid players.
The reason why the suspension is stupid is bc it looks like they think he is guilty. Our administration isn’t using any common sense. Wade isn’t being charged and as far as the NCAA goes and impending sanctions...too many programs are involved so what are they going to do ban coach K, Williams, self, calipari etc as well as those institutions from post season play?

because the NCAA has failed to act so many times before (Cam Newton for example), so why not deny and hope for the best?

The next 3-4 years of basketball have flown into the mountain already, regardless of whether or not Wade is suspended/fired.
The players are all gone after the season- draft or transfers. No coach is going to be able to come in here and win in the next few years, with or without probation.
However, right now there is a damn strong team that's about to win the SEC and head to the tourney with a high seed. This is our last best shot at basketball success for a while.
We need to embrace this last run and enjoy it? Why give up that chance and take away their coach?

There is nothing to cooperate with yet. The media is not the NCAA. Dawkins defense is going to leak some more shite this week most likely involving Kansas and othe blue bloods. This situation called for patience.
