Not even then, he will peacefully hand over power to his son or daughter.

Based on what members are Congress are saying this morning, I'm betting the DNC's angle is to see what happens in 2020 and if Trump is reelected, they'll try to impeach him.

Morally, it's bankrupt. Politically, it's not a bad strategy.

Trump thought about doing something they didn't like. Thought police can't let that slide.

I'd be more worried about them drowning with all this damn rain.

I’m hoping, if he keeps up his good start, that Gov. DeSantis is our guy in ‘24.

It's an especially stupid and terrible strategy to do it after Trump is re-elected.

So, their plan is to a) see what happens in 2020.
B) WHEN he gets re-elected by the people, they hope to have both the House and the Senate where they will then seek to remove a duly elected President (who was elected with all this obstruction BS out in public and the public voted for him anyways)?

That's their plan.

Seriously.

That's their plan?

Sure, but impeachment is a political process not a legal one ... more accurately its a political maneuver masquerading as a legal process.

It only takes a simple majority of the House to impeach and the DNC owns that majority. Thus, even if its baseless, they could impeach Trump on Obstruction, throw a cloud over his second term trying to render it ineffective and stall until the Senate eventually acquits him.

Like I said, it's morally bankrupt but not a horrible political strategy.
