Need some help from OT aircraft enthusiast

Acquired an old Cessna. Log books and original ground testing from 1965 states the plane to be a U206 A.
But this particular aircraft has the Continental 470 motor in it and the distinctive faux nose bubble from the 205.
Wiki states the 205's were built from 63-64 and had the 470.
In 65 the 206 was built sans the nose bubble and a Continental 520.
I am having a hard time determining what exactly this plane is.

You have the previous registration certificate? What does the air worthiness cert say?

I have the original aircraft log book from when it was built.
Were there any 206's built with the distinctive nose bubbles is really what I want to find out.

There is NO WAY that trying to fly a small single engine airplane of unknown pedigree could possibly hurt you.
Off into the wild blue (then green and brown and noisy) yonder (also warm)!

This is the standard for confidence I like for my aircraft too.

Have you checked the ball bearings? It's all ball bearings these days.

Subtle “I don’t fly coach any more,” brag.

the sentiment if I didn't have over 3000 hours of flying under me belt already
It's not the first two or three thousand hours of flying, it's that last half a minute of crashing that gets ya.
