What a wonderful career.

Think she's available to coach the men's team now?

Made a lot of questionable decisions but all she did was win.

Thanks, Jill.

The next coach will have a hard act to follow.

Two World Cup Trophies...

The men's team at this rate should have a picture of dirt on their jersey, that's how close they are to getting a star.

And it's not a knock on the players per se, but the coaching has been sub par at best lately. I can't imagine how a multiple WC Winning coach couldn't be a step up.

Women’s World Cup is a joke compared to the men’s. Very few countries give a shite about the women’s game making it much easier to win the women’s cup

Any coach that didn't win with this squad should never coach again.

And yet the men's team still can't win the Gold Cup with arguably the most talented player to wear the jersey, huge budget, surging fan support etc etc.

I love soccer, but man this board blows.

Pulisic can’t even get off the Chelsea bench if he’s lucky to be named in the squad

At this point, Pulisic doesn't have the production of Dempsey and Donovan. I wouldn't say Pulisic is our best player ever, though that is his ceiling. And frankly, our teams from the late noughties to 2012 were better than our team now. Having a talented player means nothing without the right framework.

Plenty have been just as if not more talented, he’s just been the most marketable and had the most screen time. At this point in his career, CP couldn’t lace Cobi Jones’ boots

The fact that the teams were better likely contributed to both of those players being "productive".

Hard to do it all yourself when the other 10 people on your team are mostly MLS rejects.

The fact that he's even on Chelsea's team should indicate how talented he is.

I'm talking about club play too. Dempsey was an instrumental figure at Fulham. Donovan failed in Europe for Bayer, yes, and didn't perform that well with Bayern when he went (arguably because of Klinsmann), his performances at Everton as a wide midfielder left him a fan favorite there, and if not for Donovan's loyalty, he might have made the move permanent.

There were plenty of MLS players on the roster then too.

Again, while Pulisic has a high ceiling, its limited by his lack of understanding of spacing, as he tends to love dribbling, for better or worse. He was outperformed by Sancho to such a degree that it showed how far we are from producing truly elite players.

Sancho is a once in a lifetime winger, however, that doesn't change my point about Pulisic's positioning and decision-making. He has plenty of time to learn, but Donovan and Dempsey had good tactical awareness, which enabled them to play a much wider variety of positions at a high level.

Who do you think has been more talented than Pulisic?
