The firings of Chris Ash (Rutgers) and Willie Taggart (FSU) aren’t enough to fire up the coaching changes board, but we are getting to that time of year where coaching turnover is abundant. Who’s seat is the hottest?

The surface of the sun

Chad Morris (Arkansas)
Frank Wilson (UTSA)
Phillip Montgomery (Tulsa)
Steve Campbell (South Alabama)
Dana Dimel (UTEP)
Mark D’Antonio (Michigan State)
Randy Edsall (UCONN)

Early 2000’s Jennifer Aniston

Will Muschamp (South Carolina)
Derek Mason (Vanderbilt)
Mike Bloomgren (Rice)
Barry Odom (Missouri)
Clay Helton (USC)
Kevin Sumlin (Arizona)
Doug Martin (New Mexico State)
Jeremy Pruitt (Tennessee)

A bud light left in the backseat of your truck in June

Joe Moorhead (MS State)
Kalani Sitake (BYU)
Dana Holgorsen (Houston)
Steve Addazio (Boston College)
Tony Sanchez (UNLV)
Charlie Strong (South Florida)
Matt Luke (Ole Miss)

Safe

Pat Fitzgerald (Northwestern)
Dino Babers (Syracuse)

Tennessee has done the unthinkable and shown progress. Pruitt's seat is cooling, if only slightly.

Huh. I always thought Frank Wilson was LSU's coach-in-waiting.

I would move him down a rung at this point. They can realistically make a bowl, which was unthinkable in September.

Northwestern was just in the B1G championship game last year. I know NW is having a bad year, but Fitzgerald’s job is safe. He is Northwestern football!!

IMO....

Helton
Dantonio
Morris
Pruitt

....Are all out at seasons end.

Really wish we pull the trigger this year but doubt it
Although maybe if we lose this weekend

Hopefully we do

I don’t know. Yes he’s a hero at that university but the trajectory of the program is heading downhill and they are 1-7 this year.

Edit: I forgot they played in a conference championship game last year

Pretty insane seeing his name on this list.

I could see Dantonito "retiring" after this season after a discussion with the AD.

Would be surprised if they fired him. They are not really a perennial power that has fallen on hard times.

He's done himself no favors by keeping his buddies as assistants, that's for sure. And the number of guys going in the portal is nuts.

As long as ARK beats WKU Saturday, I really think they give Morris one more year. Mainly bec of the pending litigation with Bert and Morris' buyout this December combined. That said, I think they make him shitcan half his staff.

Pruitt is safe for now.

Luke...ehh...he guided them through some nasty sanctions plus he's an OM dude. I bet he gets another year as well.

Luke and Morris will both be fired next year, however, barring massive improvement.

Ehh...that will drag out and eventually a settlement will be reached. It won't be what Bert wants but they will pay something. Plus like I said, that shite will drag out.

Not really a believer in Pruitt long term but Tennessee has been playing pretty well the last month.

He is in no danger of being fired anymore. Tennessee will likely make a bowl and get to 4-4 or 5-3 in SEC play.

He literally broke every agreement. He will lose quickly. He should just shut up and take the 4M he has gotten.

They won their division last year. One bad season after they graduated a bunch of seniors and lost their starting QB in the first game isn't a downhill trajectory.

Dantonio steps down rather then getting canned.

Sadly, he's not on a hot seat. We're paying RichRod's buyout until 2020 and Sumlin's current buyout is 10 mil. We can't afford to fire him.

I'm still mad we didn't hire Niumatalolo. I was never sold on Sumlin and time is sadly proving me right.

If you’re 1-7 your trajectory most likely can only go up
