For all those that were negative and were cursing LSU for hiring Oeaux as the HC, here is your chance for mea-culpa.
Chime in and admit your error and all is forgiven!
We haven’t seen 12-0 since 2011, thanks Coach Oeaux for stepping up and straightening things out for LSU!

Just curious why you mention next year when this year is far from over. It's almost like you are giving yourself an out and some hope next year to have been right initially. Lol. Just enjoy this year.

I will admit, I did not doubt or melt over Coach O when he was hired, or even after we lost to troy.
I did, however, melt when he lost Patrick Surtain as a recruit and delivered the #14 overall recruiting class in the 2018. That was supposed to be his strength, and I melted when he did not deliver with that class.
He just needed time, and I've never been so happy to be so wrong.

I wasn't disappointed with the initial O hire but I wasn't jumping around from excitement.
I was extremely disappointed and felt we settled when he bumped E up to OC, though. I'm happy to be wrong here

But only because I listened to TheCatepillar’s stories about O from when he was at OM. So, I blame him for why I am in this thread begging for forgiveness.
Just kidding bud.
No, on the serious side, I just saw what was happening with the offense for his first two years/hiring E. I thought “here we go again/another stubborn coach who doesn’t want to change”
But I was totally wrong and I will put this season as the best ever so far (if we win playoff/it will be best ever). I would also like O to win the SECCG to prove the doubters wrong (myself included) and get him some hardware.
Anything on top of a 12-0 regular season SEC Championship / likely Heisman Trophy winner/playoff appearance is icing on the cake.

To doubt O, a lifelong DL coach, was one's right. I never rooted against him or the Mighty Tigers for 1 second. I just kept wondering was there someone else, this great program could reel in, that would be an upgrade.
Coach O bucked the system and has now done enough for the doubters, like me, to remove the doubt. I wouldnt apologize even to O for doubting him.
But, Im also not going to doubt him publicly again. O is at LSu for a loooong time, hes the guy. He deserves coach of the year.
He has pushed all the right buttons this year both short and long term and his team has been disciplined focused and hungry the entire season.
Job well done, not sure if anyone anywhere couldve done better this year. That 50-7 beat down of the Ags, is about as sweet a win as I can remember.
