Settle a debate on tickets prices for the NC game.

Edit for clarification
The lowest Stubhub tickets for the NC game are now around $1,300. I have a family member who thinks the price will drop after semifinals, even if LSU is in the NC game. I say no. The rant has the final say.

The price in front of the Dome 30 min before kickoff for a single will be around $150

If LSU beats OU prices will keep increasing. If it’s LSU vs OSU you’ll see all time record high prices. Only way prices drop is if Oklahoma wins.

Yeah if it costs $150 you’ll be buying a fake ticket. If LSU is in, last minute tickets may go north of $2,000.

I’ve bought a lot of last minute tickets and it always works the opposite of this.

For tickets that don’t have massive local demand this strategy works. Didn’t work at all for Texas vs LSU game and won’t work if LSU is in NO.

You think tickets will be that readily available outside of the dome?

keep thinking that and A) end up with a piece of worthless cardboard B) end up paying 2000+ C) miss the 1st quarter walking to find a tv to watch

Google “basic supply and demand principles” you should get an answer there

Yes tickets always go down at bowl games. Drastically the day of the game.

And how many of those were for a national championship??

At the 2007 National Championship, I got 2 tickets in the southeast endzone for $100. I bought them after the game started, but I only missed 7 minutes of the first quarter.

That was 12 years ago. Times have changed dramatically. With all barcoded, digital tickets now, most tickets sold on the street can’t be used. They are Fake!
Let’s say I buy tickets from LSU at face value and sell them on stub hub. Stubhub grabs the digital barcodes of my tickets and resells them to a buyer. I can take my physical tickets (which are real tickets directly from LSU) and sell them to you on the street for $300 each. You won’t get in, because the barcodes are worthless, because once they were sold on stub hub, the barcodes were taken and protected.

Just as in the previous three finals. $500 will get you in the terrace day of game. Simple fact.

I got 2 tickets after game started for 150 each for 2011 NCG outside dome. I went with the ticket holder to gate with tickets and got in.....

Know how I know you’ve never been to an LSU national title game in Nola?
To the OP...Prices will not drop below $1000 if LSU is in the game, and will likely rise above the current $1300.
Face value for title game tickets in the CFP are a lot higher than they were pre-playoff.

Must have been a guy who didn’t need or like money. I sold two for $2000 each 3 weeks before the game.

Ticket prices always ebb and flow, my wife hit me tickets on 45 in club on LSU side for Oklahoma game under 1000 total and they are about that a piece now.
It will be the same for Natty. Hope for Clemson win, they will be cheaper.
