Yea I'm in the same boat as Rick Shiels. I'm not buying the increased performance 1 bit.

Personally, I like it. I hit both the M5/6 last year and neither offered any improvement over my M3. Once it’s released, I’ll schedule a fitting. I’m interested to see it vs 410 LST and the new Cobra. I’m not a brand loyalist to anything but my irons, and that’ll be hard to replace my Srixons. But, I’ve always preferred the way TM drivers frame the ball at address.

TXG is a great channel. Shiels has fallen off since he’s lost his swing and had to adjust how he delivers content because of that. The TXG guys do the best reviews out there. You’re basically getting info from one of the best fitters out there with a +2 hdcp doing the dirty work. The info plus delivery is excellent.

I watched DJ hook it out of play or in trouble 8 times last Thursday.
If that SOB can’t hit the driver straight, I never will be able.
Hard pass

I am really tired of TaylorMade's new flavor of the week drivers.
I don't care for that muted feel too. I will put my 410 against any TM any day for forgiveness, distance and accuracy.
The shaft is the engine of the club anyway. My Ping 410 with a Tensi Blue 60S tipped 1 inch is perfect.

Ordered one last night. Upgrading from the M3.

Have you hit it yet or just going sight unseen?
Posted on 1/11/20 at 4:11 pm to htcthc321
Sight unseen based off owning all of the M series except for the 5/6.

Let us know how you like it.
I just picked up a M3 3 Wood for $95 brand new because of the new releases

As everyone knows it's just all marketing bullshite when you get down to it. This driver looks and sounds just like the last few drivers that Taylormade has put out. I play a driver that I got in 2005 and still hit it just as far or farther than my buddies that have to buy the newest clubs. I get wanting new equipment to help better their games but most people think that buying new clubs will automatically shave 10 strokes or something

Rick has always annoyed me for some reason. I watch crossfield a lot but he’s going to shite on anything Taylormade.

If everyone were hitting the ball 10 yards further with every advancement in golf technology the last 20 years then Golf courses would have to be built 10,000 yards.
It’s all a crock of shite now. It’s either you like it or you don’t.

For how early it came out, seems like its total BS vs the M5/M6.
That being said, I went from a R11s to a M6 at the end of this past year and made some massive improvement. M6 is pretty sexy with full contact.
Hit Cobra, Callaway Ping and Titliest before buying and couldn't make the others work. Sound, feels and ball address were what separated it for me.
But like everyone else has said, its all preference. It's a titanium/composite hallow clubs, there's really not shite to these things minus the shaft these days. It's all marketing BS with some aesthetic nonsense.

when did he lose his swing? when he finished DFL in that pro tourney he entered? I don't follow golf equipment quite as much as I did a few years ago

I hit the new SIM driver and was not impressed at all. However, I haven’t like a TM driver I a long time. If you’re a TM guy, you may like it. It looks like a bulkier M5
