Golf Equipment pricing has really become out of whack.

IMO, the technology has hit the wall with the COR limits, etc...

Really hard to see any difference between the Cally Epic and the Mavrik. The other companies are hitting the same wall too.

Ball prices at 47 dollars a dozen is ridiculous.

I have always been a Club Ho, evident by the fact that I bought a Matrix TP7 shaft years ago even though I did get a discount...

It was easier to plunk down the cash when you could see the appreciable difference from year to year.

The test difference between a SIM and M5/M6 was absurdly small.

No change in hell I'm spending $200-$300 extra for single digit yard gains.

I'm with you, it's gotten out of hand.

I mean the SIM taylor made came out in like December, they basically painted the damn thing blue and put a new price tag on it.

F'ing Titleist going after Costco for producing a ball that worked just as well as the Pro V1 but for a 1/3 of the cost.

The TM M2 driver performs as well as the SIM IMO.

The Ping G400 Max was a big leap in forgiveness but not distance.

Cally drivers are all lookalikes at address and face.

PXG just loses me with those screws.

Same with bicycles. It's keeping up with the Jones' now.

Can't imagine paying this for a mountain bike.

MSRP: $13,500.00

It will hit a ceiling when people quit buying equipment every year. Taylor Made makes phenomenal equipment. But, theyre like cell phone companies. They come out with new stuff so quick that 6 months after you buy some equipment it’s old and out of date.

And just like cell phones, I wait at least a year before buying the new model and thus benefit form the lower prices of the "older models" (which are probably still too high)

And they've been sold multiple times recently because they can't make a profit. And I wouldn't say their entire line is great. They had something with the spider, but people have moved on. Putters from an OEM can't carry a company because people hold on to putters so long and the aftermarket is so damn saturated. Their golf ball isn't making them money but they spent a ton developing the TP5. TM isn't known for its irons. And they have lost ground to Callaway in the driver market.

The oldest club in my bag is a TM M2 Hybrid. I love the shape and I hit it so well. I've had an M1 3W till I cracked it but couldn't get along with the M3 so I eventually ended up in the Mavrick 3W which is unbelievably good.

That’s a road bike not a mountain bike. People will pay big money for tiny weight drops and aerodynamic improvements

Well, my opinion doesn’t matter much. I have only put one of their clubs in my bag before and it was a 3 wood and i really didn’t like it. But, there are a ton of pros who hit them.

TM pays the best and they pay Tee Up money for their non staff guys.

Take a Srixon staff guy the plays their irons and balls, the player may get 3 grand to play the TM driver during the tournament.

I have never been a TM guy, like I said earlier, their M2 driver that sits 1 degree open was a great driver and as good as anything that they make now.

Ping sticks to a 2 year cycle for the most part. Due to the Virus, they are delaying all new products until 2021.

Titleist usually sticks to a 2 year cycle as well.

It’s market driven pricing. When people quit buying, prices, or supply, will fall.

I just don’t see a difference in technology at all. I play a 917 D2 driver and 718 Ap1’s, I have no desire to upgrade my clubs based on technology in the next few years.

I actually got an M5 kept it for 2 rounds then returned it. Wasn’t a fan.

Ball prices have been the same the last 20 years for the most part with more options now. In 1999 Titleist professionals were $40.

Anyone else use lostgolfballs? That’s how I justify playing proV1’s as a bogey golfer.

The company that bought Taylormade has changed everything. They now pump almost all of their money into the top guy Tiger, DJ, Rory, Day Rahm and very little to the other guys. They also cut manufacturing cost and the components are now dogshit. The CG is all over the place from one head to another, but hey they’re way more profitable.
