Division II California University of Pennsylvania senior DT Jamain Stephens Jr. died from complications of COVID-19, the school said. The 6-3, 355-pound Stephens was 20. His father, also named Jamain, was a 1st-round draft pick of the Steelers in 1996 & played 5 seasons in the NFL.

As a note: CUP is not playing this season. But the media is about to go all in.

No underlying problems.

Sad but he would have died from complications of heart disease, kidney disease and diabetes by his 40s

Perfectly healthy 20 year old ..

Sucks for the kid and his family but I feel like his death will be the rallying cry to stop athletics

So the lack of football may literally have killed him...

So not playing football is linked to covid deaths. Isn’t that how this works?

And it will simply bolster the argument of those men like Saban who believe the players are much safer on campus, around the team, than they are elsewhere.

Not only that, the school was entirely online for the fall semester.
