Mid season potential league winners thread.

Wanted to start this as I’ve had a difficult time finding a lot of articles on this topic. We’re about halfway through the year and the term league winner gets thrown around a lot. Figured it’d be a good place to throw some speculative names/information out for players who aren’t widely rostered who could have a big impact in the second half of the year.
With the rash of injuries a lot more guys have been seemingly discovered earlier in the season. A lot of leagues have added roster spots due to covid so there may be less players out there at this point than a in a normal year.
Benny Snell seems to be a guy to me that has been dropped a good bit in the leagues I play in due to byes and roster needs after being added heavily/owned by the Conner owner in the first month/late draft. He had that one great second half in the opener and has been pretty pedestrian since. He’s currently garnering some goaline looks and I still don’t trust JC to make the entire season.
Who else do we have?

If you’re contending, it’s about that time to purge your roster of bench players that offer no value and add high value handcuffs. We’ve seen the value of Davis, Bernard, Williams, Scott already
2nd QBs, TEs, DEFs, underperforming RBs and WRs that you’ll never play

Running backs:
If Edmonds is efficient, he could end up lead back in ARI. He’s now rostered though.
Buying low on Jonathan Taylor. Good playoff schedule and still the bell cow.
Phillip Lindsay worth the stash if something happens with Gordon’s legal shite. Solid playoff schedule.
Mattison and Jamaal Williams. They may get dropped now that Cook & Jones likely to return. But if lead backs miss time late, those are two of the top handcuffs in the game. Particularly Williams.
Lower confidence, but Tevin Coleman. Who knows who’s leading the SF backfield this weekend, much less by then. Still worth the stash as he will come off IR soon.

I'm keeping Davis, definitely.

Everybody mentioned in this thread is rostered in my league.
The way Godwin has been off injured this season, can we call Scotty Miller a handcuff, or is Gronkowski cutting into his value too much?

League winner doesn’t have to mean waiver wire.
If an owner can get creative, then trading for some of these may be a nice play if you have depth or can replace the traded position without a big drop off.
Around mid-season, the likelihood of finding a “league winner” on the wire drops significantly each week. Of course, an injury could always happen that opens it up.

Chase Edmonds is the obvious answer here, if you were lucky enough to have him on your roster or picked him up this week.
Another guy that might be on the wire is Brandon Aiyuk. I can see a path to him producing WR2 numbers with Deebo missing some time. I think he holds a lot of value as teams start to push for the playoffs.

Roger that.
And I'd guess, due to volatility, we're really just talking about RB's?

Honestly anything that someone thinks may be insightful/under the radar. Feel like a lot of that stuff gets lost in specific advice threads.

I just brought up RBs because I’ve been on top of them over the past month or so. I’m a Saquon/Mixon/MGIII owner. I haven’t looked at WRs as much as mine are set so far.

Took a lottery ticket on Tua. Tired of my qbs averaging 20 pnts a game while others average 30 to 40.

Aiyuk is a good one. Reagor is another that’s about to come back. Claypool as a diontae cuff. Callaway possibly. Harrison Bryant. This is the time of year rookies will begin to emerge
Antonio Gibson is a good buy. He’s on bye and could be pried away from a desperate team
