Let's overanalyze the sh!t out of The Wizard of Oz (long, ridiculous question/observation)

Warning, this is long and overly ridiculous, but if you want to participate, welcome. But I caught some of this movie last week and man oh man, it stuck out to me how terrible of a person Glinda the "good" witch is. I'm not sure how someone can call themselves good when they create this much drama and bullshite.
I know it was (spoiler alert) all a dream in the end, but how badly did Glinda the good witch frick over Dorothy in Munchkinland?
She tells Dorothy that she killed the Wicked Witch of the East, which isn't even remotely true. And she tries to blame it on the munchkins ("the munchkins said someone killed the witch" .... "the munchkins want to know are you a good witch or a bad witch?") Um, lady, her house fell on top of her because of a fricking tornado. That's an act of God/Nature.
And she pesters Dorothy about being a witch multiple times even though Dorothy clearly explains she is not. She even is all cocky and arrogant about being "beautiful" because she's a "good witch."
So then the WWotW shows up. And Glinda goes onto say that the WWotWest is even worse. So she's scaring Dorothy already before she even gets to know this new lady.
So the slippers. I have to assume that the WWotE was single and unmarried, and also had no children. So, being her next of kin, the slippers should now be her sister's (the WWotW) property. And what does fricking Glinda do? She affixes them to Dorothy's feet without so much as even asking her if she wanted them. So she steals the WWotW's legal property and gives them away to someone else, and then basically prevents the owner from getting them. The WWotW even tries to explain that she's the only one who knows how to use the slippers and that they're of no use to Dorothy, which is further proof that they are a family heirloom of sorts, and they belong to her.
"Keep tight inside of them. Their magic must be very powerful, or else she wouldn't want them so badly." The way she smugly says this is annoying too, just trying to be a count to the WWotW for no reason. So maybe they are powerful, or maybe she just wants her property back to its rightful owner, bitch.
Glinda’s a total bitch. And let’s not forget that when the WWotW first shows up, all she wants to know is who killed her sister. Which is a reasonable reaction from someone who just lost a sibling in a horrific accident. It's Glinda that brings up the slippers in the first place, JUST so she can steal them and give them to Dorothy. So she sees someone grieving their recently-deceased sister, steals their lawful property, and gives it away. All in front of their face. What a fricking sociopath.
Then Glinda threatens the WWotW with "You have no power here...be gone before someone drops a house on you too," thus making it seem like Dorothy willfully dropped her house on the deceased witch as an act of aggression, and feeding the fire that is the WWotW’s unintentional hatred of Dorothy.
And keep in mind that Glinda is a witch too, so she could clearly give the shoes back since she's the one who put them on Dorothy’s feet in the first place. But what does she do? She talks mad shite to the Witch on Dorothy's behalf, and gets Dorothy into all kinds of shite without her even saying a word. And she has the gall to smile and act like everything is just fine and dandy, all while she's put Dorothy in the path of a distressed and loved family member of a recently-deceased lady. Most people in her situation would want revenge for their sister based on the manipulation tactics of Glinda.
Hell, the WWotW even calls Dorothy a "fine lady." She's a fricking saint compared to the sociopath that Glinda is.
AND frickING THEN THIS BITCH TELLS DOROTHY "I'm afraid you've made a rather bad enemy of the Wicked Witch." What the actual frick? No, bitch, YOU'VE made me her enemy. All I did was literally stand here and you made all of this happen!
And after all of that, she vaguely tells Dorothy that she has to go to some unknown place and speak to some unknown wizard. And when Dorothy, obviously confused and still in shock, asks how to get there, Glinda has the gall to ask her "Did you bring your broomstick with you?" Look, lady, I'm not a witch and you can kindly go frick yourself for continuing this “me being a witch” charade.
Glinda even tells her to never let the slippers off of her feet for a moment or else she'll be at the mercy of the WWotW. Well, then why the frick did you put them on my feet, GLINDA?! Do you get off in putting innocent people in harm’s way for fun? Dorothy even tries to ask her a question ("what happens if I...") and she just peaces out in her little bubble like a count and leaves Dorothy alone with zero help aside from some munchkins who will only take her to the border of their town, which is nowhere near the Emerald City.
Of all the supposed “good” characters in movie history, I feel like Glinda may actually be one of the worst people to ever exist in that space. She’s a complete and total psycho.
Anyway, that’s all the shite that was going around in my head the other day during the ten minutes of that scene.
Anybody else think she was as terrible as I do, or just want to inject their thoughts on this movie as a whole? We can make this an “overanalyze” thread if y’all want to.

Man, shite.
Dorothy's last name was Gale. That's all I've got.

Don't forget at the end, it's Glinda who tells Dorothy that she had the power to go home all along by clicking her heels together.
At the end.
Of the movie.
At the end.
Of the movie.

I hear ya on a lot of what you're saying..but I mean, where in societal law does it say we're supposed to be nice and friendly and honor bequeathments for WICKED WITCHES? This is a got damn witch, and even has wicked in her name! She keeps humans and animals captive, kills people, shoots fire, and who knows what kind of history she has with Glenda.
Yeah, Glenda was kinda catty and involved a confused dorothy, but man frick the wicked witch.

Yes we eventually learn the WWotW is indeed bad but how do we know Glinda isn't? Because she has good in her name? After an accident takes out one of her rivals she manipulates a young girl to take out the other only then does she tell her oh yeh you could go home any time by clicking your heels. Wouldn't a good witch tell her that in Munckinland? Instead she sends on a treacherous journey to she a wizard she has to know is a total charlatan

See, that's the shite I mean. She could have solved all of Dorothy's problems by a) not getting her into the shite to begin with, and b) telling her that she could go home whenever the frick she wants.
And just because someone is bad, or perceived to be bad, doesn't prevent the laws from applying to them. Those slippers belonged to her as next of kin from the WWotE (assuming Oz is similar to the real world).
What's even worse, as mentioned, is that Glinda apparently DOES know the power of the slippers. So all of that bullshite in Munchkinland she was feeding Dorothy were just lies upon lies anyway. She knew exactly what was up, and just was toying with the WWotW and using Dorothy as her pawn. And she puts an innocent girl in harm's way by putting her square in the sights of an animal abusing, psychopathic (alleged) murderer.

Lmao
I guess there are thousands upon thousands of movies you take umbrage with then when the bad guy doesn't get his jail phone call, or isn't given due process in the court of law, or is shot at on the streets by the good guys. I love overanalyzing movies on here but wwotw not getting her shoes seems a mighty strange line in the sand to stick to

Not to defend Glinda, but if Dorothy was a witch and didn't want anyone to know; she would deny being a witch each time.

Of course. That's kinda the point of these "overanalyze" threads.
And the shoes are basically the premise upon which the entire movie gets going on.

the movie is based on a political book-
Oz is the abbreviation for ounce
Slippers represent the Silver Standard (ruby slippers looked better on the screen)
Yellow Brick road represented the Gold Standard
Tin Man is a representation of the industrial workers in eastern factories
Scarecrow is the farmers
Cowardly Lion is Willam Jennings Bryant
Wicked Witch of the West is William McKinley (defeated Bryant)
Winged monkeys represented african-americans
Lollipop Guild represented child labor laws/unions
Wizard of Oz represents Mark Hanna
Glinda was the "Good Witch from the South"
So Glinda. the Good Witch from the South, used innocent Dorothy (American voters) to overthrow the Wizard of Oz and kill Wicked Witch of the West. IRL William McKinley was assassinated.
