Heading there for work next week for a few weeks. Is there any good restaurants that are worth mentioning?
Any nice state parks worth stopping at?

I would say Bourbon and Baker for dinner. They make ice cream on campus if you’re wanting to check out the university at all. You can check out the Flint Hills, and I’m sure the Tallgrass Prairie Reserve has stuff for those.
Overall, it’s more of a agricultural area, so you might get some great views in nature, but nothing too exciting especially while the university is on winter break.

Not a very exciting place to get visit for a few weeks. Like WuShock mentioned, Flint Hills are kind of cool if you are into nature.
If you are into golf, bring your clubs and check out Firekeeper about an hour east of Manhattan in Mayetta KS. Colbert Hills GC in Manhattan is pretty nice too.

Second the recommendation on Firekeeper. Notah Begay did a nice job on the design.
But since he'll be there in January, it'll likely be closed because it'll be under about a foot of snow.

Did my time there for a few days. I honestly don’t remember a single thing about the city aside from the drive from KC and the beautiful rolling hills.
Oh, and seeing K-States stadium.
