What happened in the last 50-70 years?

When did counter culture disappear?

When did American society demand government control over freedom?

How perfectly brilliant did that pivot happen?

Americans are openly fighting to have the government control every aspect of your life.

Americans openly fighting for a corporate oligarchy to rule the globe.

Americans are now demanding National Socialism and authoritarian crony capitalism.

Americans are now demanding censorship.

Can anyone give me examples of times in history when complete government control worked out well for the citizens?

Can anyone tell me why they put so much faith in the government? When has that ever worked out well?

Have we become so fat and lazy and stupid and pathetic that we’re just going to roll over and allow the principles this country was founded on and fought 3 wars to protect to disappear?

Harmlessly passing your time in the grassland away
Only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air
You better watch out
There may be dogs about
I've looked over Jordan, and I have seen
Things are not what they seem

What do you get for pretending the danger's not real
Meek and obedient, you follow the leader
Down well trodden corridors into the valley of steel
What a surprise!
A look of terminal shock in your eyes
Now things are really what they seem
No, this is no bad dream

The counter culture was always a tool of the leftist movement in our country. Post Vietnam, they were only anti-war as long as the Republicans were pro-war. They didn’t give a f$&k about the Balkans, Libya, Syria, the Yemen, the Ukraine, or anywhere else the Clinton/Obama administrations bombed.

As soon as a Republican became anti-war, the leftist counter-culture became revealed for what they really are, just mouth pieces for the progressive wing of the democratic party, and by progressive, I mean communist.

It started with the invasion of Kuwait under George H Bush.
I was still in high school.

I think the claim at the time was that Kuwait had been diagonally drilling, or slant drilling into Iraqi oil formations.

But we went to war to liberate Kuwait, and the rest are just versions of the same. Couple in some terrorist incidents and the rest is history.

Yup. If you have the ability to not use the public education school system there is no reason at all the send your children there. They’re nothing more than indoctrination camps for children.

It’s scary to me that since 2008 they’re not even hiding it anymore. The fact that politicians have become so brazen and openly supportive of National Socialism and Globonational corporate oligarchy tells me they’re about to make a final push to crush the American Dream once and for all.

That path only leads to one of two things: complete submission or war.

We have failed the next generation and the previous generation failed us.

It blows my mind everyday how absolutely psychoticly the majority of this country flaunts ignorance as strength.

I will never forget this as one of the agreed upon reasons for sending American soldiers to die.

I remember them showing graphics on the news of how diagonal drilling works.

It may go back to the Federalists and their vision of America.

Six long decades of intense and comprehensive Leftist Indoctrination in all of Academia from Pre-School to Post-Graduate levels will eventually have a decisive effect.

Then, once Social Media reigned supreme throughout the Land for all of the Subjects, the war was decisively won by the Globalist Left.

It's the Yankee Puritan ethos. You saw it with their attempts to prevent the Confederate states from being independent. You saw it with Manifest Destiny. You saw it with the genocide of Native American tribes. You saw it with Teddy Roosevelt's imperialism. You saw it with Woodrow Wilson's internationalism. And since World War 2, no other country has fomented more violence around the world in an attempt to remake the world in our own image than the United States. There is a messianic desire among the American political class to use force and violence to remake the world in our image. No Southern man should allow his family to fight and die for this country.

Junk food + 24/7 entertainment + plenty of cheap Chinese products = Comfort. Once you Americans comfort, good luck getting them to do anything.

The reason we went to war to liberate Kuwait was to bury the news about the Silverado Savings and Loan scandal and Neil Bush’s involvement.
Iraq and Kuwait had been squabbling for years over the actual border and the US state department had refused to get involved in the border dispute.
Saddam Hussein conveniently decided to invade and gave George HW Bush perfect opportunity the deflect the news of the scandal in which his son was a principle.
Government was pumping the propaganda into the news media about what a fierce army Iraq had, shipped 100,000 body bags to Kuwait, etc. They even had a video of a Kuwait “nurse” crying that Iraq soldiers came into her hospital, dumped babies out of isolettes and took them back to Iraq. The “nurse” turned out not to be a nurse at all,she was an actress and the dumping babies never happened.
Saddam Hussein was no doubt a bad guy but he was our ally and he did keep the peace in Iraq.I would argue the Iraq people, especially Christians, had it better under his reign than what eventually transpired under our effort to bring Democracy to Iraq.

If we're examining what would be considered irrational behavior from the Dim side of the political spectrum there's much to be considered but to cut to the chase, Trump's victory over Hilldawg was the impetus for potential mass mental illness in tens of millions of Americans and this potential mass mental illness was reenforced by the Gaslight Media. To summarize, everything the Dims use to rail against but they now support is largely due to mass mental illness and they honestly don't understand their own platform anymore.

The anti Iraq protests were larger than those against Vietnam .( maybe not always as intense because there was no draft).

We were called anti American/ un Patriotic by Republicans like you for speaking out against that war. Tens of millions across the Globe protested.

It was a slow process.

Education system and state media conditioned countless youth across several generations.

I want to bitch about it, but the reality is....almost every country has that sort of conditioning. Because every country knows that to control the future, they've to control the youth.

My main issue is... the conditioning of our youth is to make them believe our country is shite. That's the sort of conditioning every western first world country uses. To make the youth believe that their respective countries are shite.

China, south and north Korea, Japan, Vietnam, India, Russia etc... the conditioning they use on their youth is to make them believe that their respective countries are badasses and super strong.

I don't understand what our government is thinking. If it's a one world government they want.. then wouldn't it be better for all the first world countries to portray an unparalleled strength? And then use that unparalleled strength to spread out and unite the world, effectively forming a one world government?

What can be accomplished when the populations of first world countries think that their respective countries are shite?

It was post-ww2/Cold War era. We had to spend trillions on the military because of Russia. After USSR collapsed - we could’ve/should’ve pivoted and cut military spending by 50%.

But we didn’t because we have to support our troops and if you think different you hate America and want to burn it to the ground. Meanwhile Raytheon and Northrop wipe their arse with tax dollars being spent on missiles that will never get used.
