Hmmmm our trip from last year got rescheduled to this June. Anyone been lately? Just wondering how bad it really is down there right now.

Key Information for Travelers to Costa Rica
Travelers should avoid all travel to Costa Rica.
Because of the current situation in Costa Rica even fully vaccinated travelers may be at risk for getting and spreading COVID-19 variants and should avoid all travel to Costa Rica.
If you must travel to Costa Rica, get fully vaccinated before travel. All travelers should wear a mask, stay 6 feet from others, avoid crowds, and wash their hands.

I'm in Costa Rica now, since May 8. Things are functioning, mostly. Ticos pretty much all masked, when you enter a restaurant you have to wash hands and wear a mask. Some closures of restaurants and hotels. Some driving restrictions for locals, our guide this morning cancelled because of odd/even license system. That does not apply to rental cars or taxis, roads still packed. Government is changing restrictions somewhat at random, that's potentially the biggest problem. Not much impact on our trip overall, glad we came.

Just got back a couple of weeks ago. We had a blast. No restrictions from anything we wanted to do.
