Anybody playing in the 4 ball at TPC 2nd weekend in June??
It will be my First time playing in it so was wondering any advice and if playing from tips or how they usually set up the course.
I hear it’s pretty tough how lga sets it up.

I've played in one LGA 4-ball and it wasn't tipped out, but not a members tee deal. They still have to get everyone around the course. They did throw some tees and pins in tough spots on the par 3s.

I’m playing and played last year as well. Although it was Ellendale which isn’t long they didn’t tip it out. I doubt they do at tpc although it will be playing long.

I’ll be there for my first time as well. Talking with guys who have played it there before, expect par 3’s to be 200+

It'll probably be somewhere between 6900-7000 yards. It won't be tipped out at TPC.

Are there any handicap requirements for the 4 ball?

I thought 8 or below but not sure. What’s the winning score going to be. 128?

127-130. Think -16 or so won last year. Williams and Berthalot tore poor Ellendale up.

They sent the setup in the tee time email. Gonna play about 6850 or so. Not real short but def not real long either.

Looks like a good balance of shorter and longer holes. They're listing 2, 10, 13, and 16 as being from the PGA Tour tees on the TPC scorecard, but 4, 6, 12, and 15 are listed as the blue or even blue/grey yardage. Should make it fun, but not super difficult.

Yeah, I wish they would stretch these tournaments out especially in a 4 ball. I probably say that cause distance isn’t my issue lol. Should be fun. I tee of late as shite the first day so I’m hoping for decent weather like we had last weekend.

99% of the teams at the top don’t have that issue either lol
The groups I know all hit it far and have the short game to go with it.

Well of course they do. Doesn’t mean lengthening the course isn’t any less advantageous for long hitters. Luckily for me i have a decent putting stroke to go with it. Unfortunately i also seem to hit 300 yard shots with my wedges around the green. Can’t wait!

Is this scheduled for Sat 6/12 thru Sunday 6/13? I was looking for a tee time Friday. Maybe they will have it open.
