A friend of mine is a camera man for Cox...

and he told me the game is going to be played at the Cotton Bowl.
Don't flame, but that's what told me. I'll go ahead and say you heard it from me first.
However, if Ike goes as it is now, we'll play in Baton Rouge.

This is like Les Miles going to Michigan, I will believe it when an official statement is made. Either way a game needs to happen this weekend in order to finish off our season without losing games from our schedule.

That would be moving the game to the state that most computer models indicate where Ike will hit next weekend.

Listen, I just know that we won't be playing in Texas Stadium. He seemed confident it was going to be in Dallas. Who knows, but it should be interesting.

The Cotton Bowl is a terrible place for any game. It was built for people who are short and lean. I'm not a big guy and I had to squeeze in my seat. And you'd better hope you don't have to go piss during the game...there is no room to get by.

as much as id want the game to be in the cotton bowl so i could see the tigers play, im pretty sure its impossible to play there because they are finishing up renovations/expansions that i believe will wrap up in the next 3 weeks. so idont think the stadium is ready to host a game saturday.

If Ike is headed towards Houston, why in the world would the game be moved to Dallas, which is likely to see a large number of Houston evacuees. With Ike on its current track the Superdome looks like the logical option with Independence Stadium as the other alternative.

Unless maybe he dates the third cousin of the LSU Maintenance Dept. temporary fax machine serviceman who parked outside of the Athletic building where he stopped to ask directions to Mike’s cage and heard a reference to cotton shirt, or belt, or hair ball.
