Been in the Dumps Lately- Need a Reset

Last 15 months or so have been tough. World has been getting back to normal as of late, but I’m having a hard time getting back to my normal self. My interests aren’t as interesting, nothing is as funny as it used to be, nothing is fulfilling (work accomplishments don’t make me feel anything), and all I want to do with my free time is lay in bed. I’ve had periods like this before, but I’ve always been able to drag myself out of them. This feeling has been more extended than usual. I feel truly stuck and like time is passing me by.
Any tips and encouragement from the OT would be appreciated. I’m a pretty private person, so I’m not one to bring this type of thing to family, friends, significant other. I don’t want people to think it’s their fault in some way or they aren’t enough to make me happy.
In all honesty, I feel like this Covid thing kind of tripped me up a bit. I was actually enjoying life, in the best shape of my life, etc and then the shutdowns happened. I’m a young adult that lives alone and while it was nice to unplug for a bit, the months without physical human contact took a toll and I’m having a hard time getting back into the swing of things.

Go speak to a psychiatrist. Guarantee he/she will know exactly what you’re saying and will make perfect sense of it for you.

My situation is pretty similar but I’ve been in the office every day aside from my two weeks with the Wuhan.
If you have the ability to go work back in person do it.

You have come to the right place for this information.

Seriously, it looks like you've been done exactly what the Democrats want every one to be.
Lazy and unmotivated.
Get your arse out of the house. Go to a park and hike. Ride a bike. Volunteer at a shelter. Do something that is fulfilling for your soul. Don't be crushed by the news of the world. You are the result of what the media wants us to be. Turn off the TV for good. Read a book. Run a 5k. Anything

Find real people like the ones mentioned above to tell the second quote to.
Blood work wouldn't hurt.
Weight loss either. Get to a gym. They are busy now with lots of activity. Go strike up a conversation with someone. Find your local bar and sit and have a beer and find someone to talk to there.
If it helps I generally feel like shite most days due to a colon resection killing my sleep cycle, but I get up out of bed daily. You can do it.
Leave your phone plugged in the kitchen at night so it doesn't distract you. I bet you lie up at night fricking with it.
Work out after work.
Take a hot shower when you get home.
Go to bed about same time daily.
Don't bring your phone to bed.
Sleep is everything. Actual Deep Sleep must be obtained.

Personal fulfillment/purpose, I believe, only comes in doing something worthwhile for others. You said you're single and living alone. You need to find an outlet which allows you to find purpose in doing something rewarding for someone else. What/who/how is up to you. When you can't get out of bed for yourself, do it for someone else.

Get back in touch to what made you happy. I get in a funk every now and again, I just power through it. Solo fishing trips really help to clear the mind.

Stay active is most important thing. Do stuff. Anything. Bike ride. Hike. Fish. Find and be with people with mutual interests.
What not to do: isolate, do nothing, stare at your phone for hours.
Basically don't:
Get on an antidepressant if necessary.

Find a new porn genre that’s way different from what you’re used to. You’re gonna have to dive deep and go through some stuff that will probably disgust you but once you find the one you’ll be a new man for a few months.

What does this even mean? You haven’t been laid ina year or you haven’t had social contact with anyone? Took a toll how? Did you forget how to smile or talk to people? Either you were introverted before or you’re full of shite now. Either way,
Get out of the house and go be social. It’s not difficult but you gotta make an effort.

And then with the new "red flag" laws Dems are pushing he will never be able to own a gun. It's sad that this guy probably needs some help but will be punished forever if he seeks it.
