Looking for a nice hotel in Lafayette. Taking my son for a visit to ULL. Was considering the Doubletree.

The Hilton Garden Inn directly across the street from the ULL assembly arena is very nice and conveniently close to the campus. Be advised breakfast is not included. It costs extra. We went elsewhere for breakfast.

The Juliet downtown is pretty nice.

The double tree is a shite hole. We stayed there for a baseball tournament a month ago and it was awful. The only positive was the nice lobby. The room was tiny and only one of the three elevators was working. We had mold in our bathroom and trash in the trash cans when we got there.

Springhill Suites in River Ranch or the Hilton Garden Inn

SpringHill Suites or Home2 in River Ranch. Doubletree does have a bar in the lobby which is nice at times but overall it’s not the nicest hotel. It’s big and old. I try to find something in the River Ranch area. It’s the best area of Lafayette for shopping and restaurants.

The nicest hotel/best location would be The Carriage House in River Ranch. If you don't want to book that, then I would probably go with H2 over in Parc Lafayette.

My wife (no pics) travels there for work. She uses the Hampton Inn in Broussard and really likes it.
No idea how close it is to ULL though.
