They want certain results and they can't get them. And they insist the reasons they can't get them are due to people being "ungovernable" or people intentionally undercutting their efforts.

In addition to that, there's the large contingency of gullible people who don't necessarily hate themselves, but they are told to. There's no other way. If you don't fall in line, you are part of the problem. You don't want to be one of the outcast misfit kids, right? You want to be in the 'In' crowd, right? Change your facebook avatar to BLM or you are a racist. Change your facebook avatar to a Rainbow meme or you are homophobic. Vote against Trump or you are literally a NAZI. Nobody wants to be a NAZI racist homophobe.
