Drafted Clyde in second round and am starting to regret it. I may play fournette over him next week. Anyone else feel the same?

His performance has been very similar to last year, which peaked in his first game.

ETA: that’s slight hyperbole. He had a couple of good games last year. But still.

Traded him and obj for lamb and higgins before the start of week 1. Had buyers remorse and just a bad feeling after having ceh last year.

Exact same year as last year.

Darrell Williams with the goal line TD last night.

Going to have to start Mike Effing Davis now.

Luckily have the King and some good WRs. Hopefully Adams picks it up as I need those two to carry me.

Two main problems with Clyde. He isn’t explosive so he’s not going to get you any chunk plays, and the entire premise of the chiefs drafting him was his pass catching ability, but they didn’t really think that through because they have no need to throw it to the backs. The receivers and tight ends get open and they’ve got the most aggressive passer in the league.

Think he can eventually be a Mark Ingram type back that’s never quite as strong between the tackles and maybe a bit better in the passing game. Not that the chiefs offense has any missing pieces, but I always thought they would be unstoppable with a homerun hitter at RB and that isn’t Clyde’s game

Well in hindsight you’d have prob lost anyway. They were just trying to eat clock and nudge down a little closer for a fg. Prob wasn’t gonna get the 3.

Let’s be honest, he’s just not that good.

Not in an every down bell-cow type role.

You nailed it. I wasn’t excited about him when I drafted him but he was the last rb left in that tier by my second pick. I got Swift and Cook so he may just end up being a situational flex play going forward.

But when they commit to giving him the ball he does well. Games where he got 20 or more rushing attempts:

25 for 138 yds 1 TD
20 for 64 yds - 5 rec for 70 yds
26 for 161 - 4 rec for 8 yds

Only time he had 20 or more touches and didn't get over 100 total yards was against Miami last season (16 for 32 yds, 5 rec for 59).

And FWIW him and Kelce are the only KC players that looked worth a shite in the Super Bowl.

But that was last season and the way this one started has been troubling. He's not getting work in the passing game and Mahomes doesn't check down to him. They don't seem to run much in the redzone, except of course when they're on the goal line and give Williams the easy TD. On SNF his last 2 attempts were each -2 yard runs because run blocking wasn't there, before that he had 50 yards on 11 attempts. Williams finished with -2 yards on 3 carries.

He’s one of the few RB’s that are on the field most of the game. He will come around. I’d wait at least another couple of weeks before panicking.

He’s started 15 games now

892 yards = 89.2 fantasy points
4 rush TDs = 24 points
39 receptions = 39 points
1 receiving TD = 6 points
326 receiving yards = 32.6

190.8 total fantasy points

* JD Mckissic had 191.4 fantasy points last year

I think a couple more weeks could be the kiss of death with his stock going even further down the toilet. I’d find some LSU homer in my league and get what I could for him.
