I knew when golf went to elastic stretch pants and glorified t-shirts it was done.

Golf can either be elitist and keep traditions or grow the game and accept people without tucked shirts and hoodies and even backward hats. I seriously doubt people on here play with long pants the way they do on tour.

Elastic pants are trash and much worse than the hoodies imo.

The hoodies are no bueno when its windy.

Careful how you grow your sport. You can always have class- whether you’re elitist or populace, rich or poor. But you have to expect and demand that people honor traditions. And golf unlike any other sport needs to hold onto and preserve its traditions.

I’d wear a hoodie in a heartbeat. I also have at times when it’s cold. I’m also not an uptight boomer that gives a shite how people like to enjoy riding around hitting a little white ball. I just like to have a good time.

I am not advocating for either. I think you are going to have to spend money to join nice country clubs if you want to avoid hoodies, etc. Golf is probably big enough to find a place for those that want to keep it classy and those that want to be comfortable or bring their own style.

It sure wasn't a style statement or any kind of statement to wear a hoodie. Frick, the cold wind of the lake is cold, real cold. I know what I speak of, since I am here and wearing layers and a hoodie. And that dang wond blows on every hole... no protection anywhere.

Why do you care what someone else is wearing? You can choose to play with whoever you want. If a person in another group doesn't have his shirt tucked in or has on a hoodie, how does that effect you?

I think the beekeeper suits that the old korean women at my club wear are pretty silly. But I dont give a shite if that's what they choose to wear. The young ones are wearing short skirts and high socks. Some old timers might not like that look either, but i do.
