New Covid variant 'worse than' Delta is 'spreading rapidly' in South Africa

A new COVID-19 variant recently identified in South Africa is causing concern from public health experts across the globe due to its high number of mutations and increased transmissibility among young people. Some are even warning the new strain could prove to be more dangerous than the Delta variant.
It's unclear where exactly the new strain, formerly known as B.1.1.529, initially arose but it was first detected in South Africa and has since been detected among South African travelers in neighboring Botswana as well as Hong Kong, the Associated Press reported. On Friday, Israel also said it had detected cases.

It’s very grim right now. You can look forward to the midterms all you want but when the deck is several times over stacked against you, short of violence, not sure what other options are available.

It means that the virus is mutating predictably like people said it would - more communicable but less severe.

So earlier this week, social media was flooded with folks asking what was up with staggeringly low COVID cases in Africa, particularly in light of their super low vax rates, now...

Apparently the WH said last week no.lockdown.
I don't think they can get people to take their stupid boosters so will they go with muh hospitals full death on roids and Brandon will order a lockdown?

Newest rumor is Cackle will have a sudden family emergency and resign and Congress Critter Committees are all ready to approve Buttigieg. Brandon resigns, then Buttigieg appoints Stacey, MO, or Oprah.
They have a year to do this before midterms. They don't care that Buttigieg couldn't run a very small town or a lemonade stand.
