Agreed. It's like the senior yearbook using votes from teachers for the most popular in class instead of how many chicks you slayed over the four year span.

All governments are oligarchic. It's how you set up incentives and obligations that count.

No, because CA is a one party state that could cheat and win all by itself.
It is about TX and NY put together

We aren't a democracy. The founding fathers never intended for the president to be elected by popular vote.

No, go to hell liberal yuppie hipster. It protects rural areas from the tyranny of urban centers.

Not really. Bush lost popular vote but Gore lost election. That sounds unfair until you really see that Bush didn't bother campaigning or visiting California because he knew he had no chance to win there. Gore won huge in Cali because Bush didn't waste time there. So the popular vote was skewed. Had Bush campaigning gender he would have lost state but probably won popular vote in US. EV is fine. Has positives and minuses.
By the way... Bushes voted for Clinton today... so frick them.

Nope. But we need to lop off California.

You're either for the constitution or against it. The EV is Article II, Section 1. Kind of a big deal.

No. Don't want New York City and Los Angeles deciding every election.

IMO some states have too high of a share of electoral votes.

More disappointed the EC votes are not proportional.

Clinton is on track to win the popular vote but lose the election. The system works as intended.
