I've advocated for a Constitutional amendment that sets out a peaceful secession process.
Maybe now we have more support for it in blue country too.

If California seceded, then there would never be another democratic president again. Those 55 electoral votes would sway things quite a bit.

Fine, but Nevada gets to take over the entire Lake Tahoe basin. We're not giving up that big, deep, blue, beautiful lake to a bunch of idiots who think scarce water should be given to some fish instead of farmers.
